Make It Monday #31: Background with Non-background Stamps

Greetings all!

It's PTI's Make-It-Monday time again, and the instruction this time is to make a background using a non-background stamp.  For this I chose the two smallest flourishes from the Fancy Flourishes set.

It's a pretty simple card;  the background white card was stamped with the flourishes in SU Certainly Celery ink, the patterned paper came from DCWV Nana's Kitchen collection, the oval die cuts are Spellbinders' Petite Ovals Small collection, and the flower/leaf die cuts are from Die-Namics Flower/Leaf trio dies.  The blue polka dot background was sponged with white ink and the blue seam binding was dyed with a Copic marker.  The thinner ribbon is SU Certainly Celery 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.  The sentiment is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages.

Thanks for looking, and have a nice day!

  1. Cyndie, this card is beautiful! The colors are so happy - I know I'd feel better if I received this card.

  2. Love this charming little card Cyndie! The colors are so cheerful and you've done a wonderful job on the background! You commented about some trim I used on the CR84FN card, it's from Hobby Lobby! Hope you had a good holiday weekend :)

  3. So so beautiful Cyndie, the colours are just so fresh and crisp and you got in so quick with this challenge. I forgot, you had a holiday Monday (all these holidays to keep track of), the second half of the year is pretty lean for us as we have no more till Christmas. I just noticed how clean your ribbon is on the edge of the card, very nice.

  4. Just beautiful, Cyndie! The colors and background stamp combos are just perfect together.

  5. Such a beautiful background that you made. This is a card looks like it's from hallmark.

Your comments are very much appreciated, thank you!
