WMSC88 and CR84FN50

Hi Gang!  This is a very quick card because I'm leaving town in a couple hours and really wanted to do a card before I leave.  So this one is for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge WMSC88 and for the CR84FN50 Challenge (pink, orange & yellow).  Loved that sketch and also the colors, so I tried to distill it down into the simplest elements and here is what resulted:

Minimal stamping, but I like how it turned out.  Supplies are as follows:

Stamps:  WMS "Say It Loud"
Punch:  Martha Stewart flower
Paper:  Bo Bunny Mellow Yellow Dot and Passion Fruit Dot
Ink:  SU Only Orange craft
Other:  orange brads, corner rounder, pop dots.

I really love that polka dot patterned paper (and I know someone else that does, too!) and would love to have it in all colors.

Well, that's it for me today--thanks for stopping by!

  7. I love how you have interpreted the sketch. For me this is a "now why didn't I think of that" moment, so simple and perfect. Can't go passed a polka dot pattern for impact (especially in these colours). Safe trip whereever you are going.

  8. Hello, hello Cyndie......thanks for popping by on my blog.....haven't heard from you in a while...although not surprised there's been so little going on there.....just trying to get the house right side up and with a DH who will not dispose of anything it is a total nightmare. I'll get there eventually but not without hassle.
I know you want to see calligraphy.....and I would love to oblige.....there is nothing I would rather do that sit down and create a piece right now but it will have to wait and hopefully when I get into my new workroom (I can't even think of it as a 'studio') things will come together eventually....although there is a Diamond Jubilee celebration coming in June and The Olympics and I so love athletics....I'll try and get you something interesting...presuming you don't want to see a bible inscription or bog standard day to day stuff which I really don't have time to photograph....sorry.
Anyhow, best wishes - nice to hear from you and hope you are well.
