JRC071 Pocket Card

Hello card enthusiasts!  I have just barely enough time to sneak in an entry to the JustRite #071 challenge, which uses these challenge colors (pink, yellow, peach).  Aren't they lovely?   I decided to do a pocket card, which is a style I really love but haven't done in a while.

And here is a view of the insert out of the pocket:

This was a fun card to make.  The lower patterned paper was created by stamping one of the motifs from JustRite's Applique set multiple times in Versamark ink on white card stock, then dusting with Flamingo Pink PearlEx mica powder.  You can't see the shimmer in these photos but it's there.  Then individual parts were colored in with Copic markers.  The top motif on the pocket insert piece was done the same way, using JustRite's Vintage Oval Labels set.  The background patterned polka dot paper is from Bo Bunny.  Vintage cotton lace was dyed peach with a Copic marker and adhered behind the top edge of the pocket, and the seam binding was dyed with a yellow Copic marker.  The flower under the sentiment came from a Martha Stewart sticker collection I've had about a hundred years.  The top edge of the pocket insert was partially cut with Spellbinders Labels Six die, as well as a Copic-dyed mat piece adhered behind it.  Finally, the pearls were also colored with a yellow Copic to match.

I hope it pleases!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Cyndie this is lovely! Pink and peach together would have thrown my for a loop but you've nailed it! Your oval sentiment label is pretty, I like the longer slimmer oval. And the touch of orange trim peaking out at the pocket line is wonderful. Fabulous card!!

  2. Stunning Cyndie, those colours are amazing together and you just nailed them. The focal point is so yummy, I love that oval die with the flower behind. Gorgeous!

  3. Really pretty Cyndie, I love what you did with the Applique stamp and Pearl ex!

    The whole card is gorgeous!

  4. Lovely challenge card -- your colors are just fabulous!

  5. This is a great job with the challenge! Thanks for joining us at JustRite Inspiration ;-)
